Imbolc Craft: Bath Salts
A great way to prepare for Imbolc (besides leaving out bread for the fairies) is by taking a ritual bath. Besides cleaning our bodies, a ritual bath on Imbolc Eve purifies our energies. Draw a hot bath, add your bath salts, light candles, and meditate on washing away negative energies that can cause depression, creative blocks, or anxiety. Once you feel cleansed of whats holding you back, focus on the important projects or goals that will be accomplished this year. Take extra care to pamper yourself during this time. Imbolc is an ideal time for transformation and beauty spells. When you finish your ritual bath, follow up with some herbal body lotion or a homemade face mask. Treat yourself like the Goddess you are and celebrate your beauty!
How to make bath salts
You will need: Epsom salts, herbs & oils of your choosing, rose quartz, mixing bowl
1. Start with plain (or lavender as I did) Bath salts. Put the desired amount in a large mixing bowl
2. Add the herbs and oils that you have chosen. I added lavender, rose, and camomile with just a dash of juniper essential oil. This blend helps me to relax and evokes a very tranquil meditative state for me. Stir the mixture with your wand or hand. You can also use a rose quartz point to stir.
3. (Optional). Since I made these bath salts ahead of time, I was able to leave this batch of salts out in January's Full moon light. I also covered the container with rose quartz for extra love and beauty
4. Lastly, divide the bath salts into containers to use or give as gifts. Run a hot bath, add the bath salts and let the magic begin.
